Borrowing an idea from NursePez, here is your Friday question:
When you want to rock and go "balls out" while driving in the car, what CD do you play?
My answer would be Metallica "Ride the Lightening".
Haiku:

To recommend a particularly entertaining website: http://www.smalltime.com/haiku.html
And may I also add that "balls out" is one of my favorite slang terms. Which is odd because technically, I'm not able to go balls out. As in, I have no balls.

I try to keep my balls in these days, but my favorite CDs with which to annoy/frighten fellow drivers are Public Enemy's latest (New Whirl Odor) and Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. Regarding the latter, when I last taught an American literature class and I presented my lecture on the explosion of the Avant Garde in 1913 (as an introduction to Modernism) and described the riots that took place during the first performance of The Rite of Spring, one student commented, "Only the French would riot over a ballet."
Don't believe the hype:
Sacrificing a virgin
Ain't a sissy thing.
I LOVE to listen to Guns-n-Roses when I need to rock. Nothing like a little "Welcome to the Jungle" or "It's So Easy" to help rid yourself of stress.
I know you are all signing it now, in your heads....
Axel where are you
Your time in the spotlight gone
too bad you're a freak
You didn't get much response from this, and I really dig the question.
I think Ride the Lightning is good. For me, "...And Justice for All" would probably be a stronger pick. That was the album that made me finally respect Metallica.
I think my default choice on this quesiton is probably "Raw Power" by Iggy and the Stooges. "Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell" is really something.
But I was driving on a warm early evening recently, and AC/DC's "For Those About To Rock," came on.
It really brought me back to my high school years, when we would head to an older suburb and cruise up and down the street along with all these other kids from high schools all around. We were blaring AC/DC. And we thought we were the shizzle.
And AC/DC does rock, in it's way.
So I'd say "For Those About To Rock."
Good question.
I have no haiku. I'm out of practice.

Well I haven't done it in awahile but by far the best album to drive balls out would have to be Jesus and Mary Chain "Automatic". I makes you want to drive fast, it's loud, scary for those that don't get it and is great to drink beer to.
The Pixies' Bossanova. Also, I really like that one song by Sting called "Desert Rose" with Cheb Mami singing. I think I just love Cheb Mami.
Hope y'all are well. We are heading to Savannah next week for some of Paula Deen's home cookin'.
